Steel fibres are designed to provide ductility to otherwise brittle concrete in high load, low deflection applications. The ground forces that act upon the sprayed tunnel lining can cause cracking and premature failure of the sprayed concrete. Steel fibres act to absorb the energy generated by these ground forces and therefore allow for a safer management of underground tunnel linings.

ReoCo Performance Fibres has a steel fibre to suit your mining application. Selecting the steel fibre that is most appropriate to your situation is dependent upon the modulus of rupture forces acting on the tunnel or
drive and the design strength and thickness of the sprayed concrete lining. ReoCo offers the world renowned 65/35 Hookshot fibre for high load applications as well as our locally produced 0730 Hookshot fibre for lower load applications.
